Hello Everyone!

With this picture I won a trophy on the "TÁLTOS" drawing competition. The competitors had to draw something about using the horse, our feelings about horses, and the historical role of this animal.
I drew one, who looks back before he goes away. I really wanted to express, that these animals can be so sad as people, when they have to leave something/someone which/who is very special to them.

Pastels, and some pencil on black paper.

I'm curious about your opinion.

I love the range of colours you have used here... reds yellows and fawns... yet you have not overdone the colour and the amount of black paper coming through is just right. The idea and pose is great too, well done on the trophy! :)

I love it!! The horse as advisor, friend, companion, there are so many feelings seen through a horses eyes if we only but take the time to look.
